Effective October 15, 2026 · Kruzyn is operated by Unknown Entities LLC (“we”).
The short version
We collect what it takes to plan and run group rides: your email to sign you in, the profile you choose to fill in, the rides you host or join, and your location only when you turn on a location feature. We don’t sell your data, run ads or track you across other apps and websites.
What we collect
- Account: your email address (for one-time sign-in codes), display name, and the date you confirmed you’re 18 or older.
- Profile (optional): bike, self-reported riding experience, photography availability, a portfolio or social link, bio, general home area and one profile photo.
- Rides: rides you host (title, area, times, meetup and route points, expectations, flyer settings and photo) and rides you join or request, check-ins, ride updates and replies you post.
- Location, only when you choose: pins you drop when creating a ride; your live position while you share it with a ride; and, if you start ride recording, your route while recording. “Use my area” only centers the map on your device.
- Social: hosts you follow, riders you block, and reports you submit.
- Notifications: a push token for your device if you allow alerts.
- Technical: standard server logs kept by our hosting providers, such as IP address and request times, for security and reliability. We do not use advertising tools or cross-site tracking.
- Product diagnostics: while signed in, we collect creation-step visits and join or publishing outcomes, including the platform, time and an account identifier, to improve reliability and understand confusing flows. These events exclude emails, message text, ride links and location. They are restricted to operations, retained for about 30 days and removed when your sign-in account is deleted. We do not record your screen or replay sessions.
Who sees what
- Anyone with a ride link sees the public ride card: title, host display name, general area, times, expectations and rider count. Public rides also appear in Find rides.
- Exact meetup spots, routes, the rider list and ride updates are shown only to riders who joined.
- Live location is shown only to the audience you pick, and only while you share.
- Your profile photo is private unless you choose to show it to riders you share an active ride with. Your email is never shown to other riders.
- Recorded ride history is private by default.
Service providers
We share data only with providers that run Kruzyn for us: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database, sign-in and file storage), Resend (sign-in emails), Expo and Apple/Google push services (notifications), and Google Maps or OpenStreetMap (maps and place search). Loading a map sends your network address and the visible map area to the map provider; place search sends your search text to Google. If you share a flyer to Instagram, the image and link go to Instagram under its own policies.
Google Maps features are subject to the Google Maps terms and the Google Privacy Policy.
How long we keep it
- Live location positions are kept only while sharing is active and are cleared shortly after you stop, the session ends or the ride ends.
- Raw ride-recording points are deleted after 30 days; detailed recording summaries after 180 days. Accepted mileage totals stay in your history until you delete your account.
- Everything else is kept while your account is active.
Your choices
- Edit or remove profile details and your photo at any time in your account.
- Stop location sharing or recording at any time, and turn off location or notification permissions in your phone’s settings.
- Delete your account in the app or on the website under Account and safety. Deletion deactivates the account right away and then erases your profile, posts, photos, location and recording data. Some records are kept in anonymous form so other riders’ ride histories stay intact, and backup copies expire on our providers’ normal schedule.
- Ask for a copy of your data or ask a privacy question at support@kruzyn.com.
Age
Kruzyn is for adults 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you believe a minor has an account, contact us and we’ll remove it.
Changes
If we make a material change, we’ll update this page and the effective date, and tell you in the app before it applies.
